Chris Brown and Drake’s authorized group are talking out following a lawsuit relating to their track “No Guidance.” This week, attorneys for Chris Brown and Drake filed a movement to have the case thrown out calling the lawsuit’s allegations “baseless” as they imagine the phrase “you got it” is just too widespread and can’t be coated beneath copyright legal guidelines.


According to the swimsuit filed final October, the hitmakers, Drizzy and Breezy allegedly ripped off artists Brandon Cooper and Timothy Valentine to create their 2019 hit. Cooper and Valentine imagine Brown and Drake illegally sampled their observe “I Love Your Dress.”

In the swimsuit, Cooper and Valentine allege the beat, lyrics, hook, rhythmic construction, metrical placement and narrative context from their track have been copied or principally derived for “No Guidance.”

The claimants are searching for financial damages for the accused infringement that embody at least 50 % of all direct and oblique royalties and revenues generated by the business success of “No Guidance.”

Attorneys for Cooper and Valentine are reportedly anticipated to file a response within the coming weeks.
