Daniel Craig was ready to stop playing James Bond before “No Time to Die”.
The 53-year-old actor will make his fifth and final appearance as 007 in the next movie, but it is “physically possible” to make another Bond movie after the 2015 movie “Specter”. It became clear that I didn’t expect it.
Daniel told Total Film magazine:
“I went and did other things. I got some separation. My family allowed me to be away from home that time.”
Daniel admits he was ready to leave Bond after suffering a knee injury while filming “Specter,” but after hearing from the producer of 007, “007 for Time to Die.” Promised an attractive plot line for “Die”. Many delays due to the pandemic.
The “Knives Out” star said, “We started talking about it and I went.’There may be a story that needs to end here.’” What started with “Casino Royale.”
“It has something to do with Vesper (the character of Eva Green), Specter, and something that is connected in a way. It’s starting to be formulated, and I thought,’Go here.’ “
Daniel also hinted that he was happy with his last outing as 007.
“The circle is now complete in terms of ending the story, and it feels emotionally satisfying,” he said.
Craig co-star Ben Whishaw (playing Q) has previously proposed that the new movie “end” the plot of the previous movie.
The 40-year-old star said, “(It was) really special. It was really touching. It takes the threads that started in the previous movie and ends them.
“I would be intrigued to see it and how it feels, what we made before all this happened, and that life was completely upset.”
