David Hasselhoff pulled out the weapons to advertise getting jabbed.
The “Baywatch” alum, in conjunction with the German Health Ministry, launched a video selling the COVID-19 vaccination so life might get “back to normal.”
“I, David Hasselhoff, am supposedly a hero because of ‘Baywatch’ and ‘Night Rider’ and the Berlin Wall, but I found freedom with vaccination,” the 68-year-old actor, flexing his band-aid coated bicep, says in the promo video.
“With vaccination, you can, too.”
The “Click” actor closed out the video by saying, “Hoff off.”
Hasselhoff is hardly the primary celeb to advertise the jab. In early May, Global Citizen hosted a star-studded Vax Live live performance in Los Angeles. Among the attendees was Prince Harry, who advised the gang vaccinations had been important.
“The vaccine must be distributed to everyone everywhere,” the Duke of Sussex stated on the live performance.
“We cannot rest or truly recover until there is fair distribution to every corner of the world,” he stated. “The virus does not respect borders and access to the vaccine cannot be determined by geography.”
In a pre-taped message that aired throughout the live performance, President Biden insisted that “the vaccines are safe. I promise you. They work.”
“We’re working with leaders around the world to share more vaccines and boost production to make sure every country has the vaccines they need,” stated the president, accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden.
“If we get this done, we won’t have to miss another moment.”
