GBV Organization Slams AKA’s Instagram Story: “How Little Respect Can Someone Have”. Fela in Versace rapper AKA has made headlines multiple times after questions were raised about what led to the death of his fiancée Anele Tembe in April 2021. News publications and social media users have weighed in about her passing and had been also questioning how AKA is handling it.
After previously announcing in a statement that his team will handle his public affairs and social media accounts the rapper is back on Instagram and showed off his new puppy to all his followers. One of his Instagram story posts of him smoking a cigarette raised concerns after he used Travis Scott’s Piss On Your Grave featuring Kanye West as his choice of song for the post.
A few Twitter users asked themselves why the rapper decided to use that song for the post and also raised concerns for GBV Organization Women For Change. The Organization tweeted out a screenshot of his Instagram post noting that his song choice was interesting.
“Aka, a grieving man … with some interesting IG Stories and song choices this evening.“
“AKA finally showing us the real him … How little respect can someone have … #muteaka“
Women For Change previously called for the rapper’s music to be muted on all South African radio stations and for his music to be removed off all digital streaming platforms. AKA‘s father spoke out against their posts saying that he agrees with what the organization stands for however allegations are being made based of images and unseen video footage. He had also said that the rapper had been finding it difficult to express himself and had been pouring himself into his music.
It was recently reported by two of his closest friends that the rapper is indeed back in the studio working on new music.
