Justin Bieber will return to the MTV VMA stage for the first time in six years.
The last time the 27-year-old singer performed the iconic award show was in 2015 when he played his popular hit “What Do You Mean?”.
This year, Pop Megastar will lead the nominations at the next ceremony and will be nominated for three top categories, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Best Pop.
“Peaches” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon starring “Tasty” hit maker in the music video for DJ Khaled and Drake’s track “Pop Star” nominated for Video of the Year and Best Direction Appeared in Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Editing.
Justin’s final nomination is in the Best Cinematography category where “Holy” (his track with Chance the Rapper) is nominated.
Megan Thee Stallion is the next most nominated artist with six nods, many of whom come from her and Cardi B’s hit track “WAP”. hop.
The chart-top rapper has also been nominated for the Artist of the Year and featured on Lil Baby’s song “On Me,” so she competes with herself in the Best Hip-Hop category.
Several artists have been nominated for the third spot, including Doja, Billie Eilish, Drake, Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo and K-Pop sensations BTS.
Doja Cat will host a star-studded ceremony at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on September 12th.
Along with the event’s promotional video, Doja announced on Instagram last week: “This year we are hosting the 2021 #VMA Wowowowowowow. [mind-blown emoji] Please watch it on 9/12 at 8 pm on @mtv (sic). “
The “Say So” hit maker has already been identified as one of the performers at this year’s Video Music Awards.
The rapper will perform at the ceremony with Shawn Mendes and Twenty One Pilot. These pilots were also recently confirmed at the show.
MTV VMA will air on MTV on Monday, September 13th at 9pm in the United Kingdom.
