Megan Thee Stallion is to pay a four-year scholarship for one lucky student at Long Island University.
The “Savage” hit maker will cover one student’s tuition at her label, Roc Nation’s music, sports and entertainment school.
26-year-old Rap Megastar, who signed a business contract with the Jay-Z label in 2019, said, “If you can use your resources to open the door and create opportunities for at least one student, that’s it. It’s a victory. We encourage our students to pursue their passion and take the position of becoming the next game changer no matter what field they choose. “
According to TMZ, Grammy Award winners will also give a guest talk on the “Industry Expert Speaker Series”.
The website of the 51-year-old hip-hop legendary school states, “Prepare students for a wide range of careers in performance, entrepreneurship, all aspects of music, and sports business management. Students work with university professors. While participating in an immersive internship, we will visit guest artists and instructors so that they can graduate with both hands-on experience and a network of professionals. “
Beginning in the fall, they offer bachelor’s degrees in music, entrepreneurship, production and sports management.
Megan himself is studying health care at Texas Southern University and eventually wants to open a living support facility in his home city of Houston.
