Michaela Coel starred in the sequel to “Black Panther.”

Variety reports that the 33-year-old actress and writer starred in Ryan Coogler’s 2018 Marvel movie follow-up, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The movie is scheduled to be released in July 2022, but no other cast members have been identified and there are no details about Koel’s character.

Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyongo, Florence Kasumba and Angela Bassett are expected to replay their roles from the first film.

Coogler is back to oversee the sequel, and he also wrote the script.

Meanwhile, film production began in June in Atlanta, with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige without the protagonist Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 after a four-year fight against colon cancer. He admitted that returning to work was “very emotional.”

He states: “Without Chad, it’s obviously very emotional. But everyone is very excited to open the world of Wakanda to the public and bring it back to the fans. Do it in a way that makes Chad proud. I’m going to do it. “

Fage previously claimed that Chadwick’s role (as T’Challa, King of Wakanda) would not be recast.

“Chadwick Boseman was a very talented actor and an inspirational figure who influenced everything in our lives. His portrayal of Black Panther’s T’Challa is symbolic and Marvel. It transcends the repetition of the character in other media from the past, so it does not recast the character. “
