US broadcaster SiriusXM has purchased music for business service, Cloud Cover Music.
Cloud Cover operates throughout the United States and Canada, and supplies background music for companies like eating places and retail shops.
For the previous, the corporate counts meals chains corresponding to Burger King, Taco Bell and McDonald’s as a few of its shoppers.
It additionally works with US retail large Walmart and a numerous different manufacturers from telco Sprint, to automotive giants Toyota, BMW and Mercedes.
By buying Cloud Cover, the agency joins SiriusXM’s different music for business divisions SiriusXM Music for Business and Pandora for Business, each of which fall underneath SiriusXM’s industrial music portfolio.
SiriusXM acquired Pandora in a $3.5 billion all-stock transaction again in 2018.
According to SiriusXM, the companies out there in its industrial music portfolio present “comprehensive and complementary offerings for businesses of all sizes.
The Cloud Cover Music team will continue to be led by Vice President and General Manager Mark Lehman.
According to an FAQ page about the buyout on Cloud Cover’s website, the company says that its “music team will continue to add new artists and stations, along with hundreds of hours of new music every month”.
